Week 5

This week, Year 3 had their Stone Age Day where the children had the opportunity to come to school dressed as Stone Age people. We tried a variety of food that they would’ve eaten back then, made our own woolly mammoths and Stone Age people out of toilet roll! Well Done Year 3 on an amazing day getting in the spirit.

Week 4

Year 3 have been loving their drumming lessons on a Monday afternoon with Mr G. They have been learning the history of the djembe drums and a variety of different rhythms and songs.

Week 3

This week, Year 3 started their DT topic with the learning question of, ‘Which is better pen and paper or digital sketching?’ . The children had the opportunity to be mini architects for the day designing their own buildings and building their skills on digital sketching.

Week 2

This week, Year 3 had their first school trip of the year. We had the opportunity to visit Nell Bank for the day and take part in a variety of teamwork and problem solving activities. It was amazing to see the children working together to solve a variety of problems, take part in an activity trail and end the day exploring the play area. Well Done Year 3!

Week 1

Year 3 have had a great week back settling into their new classrooms. We’ve started to learn about our new topic called The Stone Age and what life was like 10,000 years ago. Well Done Year 3 on a great first week back.
