Welcome to
Park Spring Primary School

‘Achieving Together ● Inspired To Be Successful’

PE

At Park Spring our children will have the motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding to take part in physical activities in order to develop healthy lifestyle behaviours.

To support pupils wellbeing, our curriculum teaches pupils the importance of eating and exercising well. We also teach how to exercise safely. Parents experience their child’s learning first hand at our annual Sports Day and we work with community organisations such as Leeds Rhinos and Leeds United Foundations to raise awareness of key issues through assemblies and events. All curricular activities and experiences are available to all pupils without charge. PE lessons support conflict resolution and Physical, Cognitive, Social, Creative, Health and fitness and Personal skills are incorporated into the curriculum.

We have a rich and broad extra-curricular offer as well as planned and sequenced trips to residential opportunities, camping, youth-hostelling and outward-bound stays. The PE curriculum supports the children to achieve together and be inspired to be successful through the use of a well-structured series of lessons taken from the PE Hub.
