Last week we had a focus on Mathematics in EYFS and KS1. We wanted the children to really enjoy maths and begin to use their on line learning accounts for NUMBOTS. Independent practice of basic number sense is SO IMPORTANT for the children’s future success and we want to help families support them in this. We provide the accounts in order that the children can practice this fundamental knowledge to AUTOMATICITY. WE also wanted to highlight what a brilliant resource the BBC’s NUMBERBLOCKS programme is for children and their parents. A REALLY SUCCESFULL week saw all the children logging onto their online accounts and practising lots! Thanks to the amazing teams from EYFS and KS1 who made the week so much FUN as well as ensuring all the children gained lots more KNOWLEDGE!
