Year 5 had a visit from the incredible author Kate Pankhurst, writer and illustrator of the Fantastically Great Women series of books. She spoke of her inspirations for how she came up with the ideas for her books, and we had an art lesson where she taught us to draw our own illustrations! The children had a fantastic time, one even saying it was the best day at school she’d ever had! Thank you Kate, for a truly fun and engaging visit, you’ve inspired the next generation of writers.
