So as part of developing our pupils and preparing them for life after Park Spring we are really keen that pupils are INSPIRED to be successful – each and every day at school and that we open up the world of careers that they may wish to pursue once they leave education.
We are now working with Glentrool Estate management a Leeds based company that is run by Jeremy Nolan and his family. You might know that each year Glentrool pay for children to attend Nell Bank outward bound centre in Ilkley and at Christmas paid for all of KS2 to go to the Alhambra to watch the panto.
8 Y5 pupils won the competition of writing a letter to Jeremy in order that they could attend a business lunch and visit his head office. During our lunch Jeremy gave the children guidance and advice on how they can reach their own business goal. You will hear a lot more about this – but Y5 have been set the challenge of raising ALL the money required to pay for their Y6 hoodies. The reward being that AS SOON as they have raised the funds they are able to wear their hoodies!
