Today was our very first Reading Mastermind Contest. Children from Reception to Year 6 competed against each other for the title of Reading Champion. The children answered questions based on a book they had chosen as their specialised subject and then some general knowledge questions based on books they had read in class. The 7 children were all amazing and confidently answered their questions in front of a live audience!
It was a nail biting finale as Lachlan( Y3), Emily( Y2) and Lucas( Y6) battled it out in a thrilling set of tie breaker questions to decide who was the winner. Well done to Lachlan who was finally crowned our Reading Champion.
I was so proud of all the children who participated. What a lovely celebration of their love of books and reading and the whole school were thoroughly enthralled and entertained by the contest. Well done everyone – you are all champions in my eyes! – Miss. Horton
