Year 5 went on a trip to discover Viking battle tactics, archaeological digs, bones and fossils and how the Vikings used to live. We started at the DIG centre where we were transformed into archaeologists, followed by the Jorvik Viking centre, where we went on a ride back in time to discover what every day life was like for the Vikings. (We even saw the biggest fossilised human poo!) The children were fantastic, engrossed and asking lots of questions – although we impressed the guides with how much we already knew.
