Last week on Wednesday to Friday Year 6 went to Dobroyd Castle. They were very excited and nervous when they set off from school. The walk to the castle calmed them down and once they had been fed and split into their groups (lava, volcano and dune) they soon settled in. We had a fun filled afternoon of activities followed by a huge evening meal which refuelled us! We then began the team challenges. The instructors were so impressed with the children and how they responded to every challenge. The second day was a busy day full of lots of exciting activities including canoeing, rock climbing, caving, zip wire, archery, piranha pool and even more… The children through themselves into them all and Miss Benson, Mrs Fowler, Mr Barker and Mrs Cooke were surprised by some people! Thank you to everyone who came and we hope the children had a wonderful time. I know that they were sad to leave and have loved doing some work on it when they returned.
