Year 4 had a very exciting day yesterday learning all about William the Conqueror and the Battle of Hastings. Check out their amazing story maps explaining what happened in the battle!
Then it was time to act out the battle! 4A valiantly played the Saxon army, led by King Harold (Hayden) but were defeated by 4B, the Norman army, led by William Duke of Normandy. (Syzmon)
After all of that action, it was time for our royal feast! We had many volunteers to act as our servants and guards, making the experience as realistic as possible, and we all enjoyed a banquet of grapes, juice, cheese, crackers and jelly!
We were so impressed with how sensible and enthusiastic the children were and how much they have learned, and we all had a great time!
