On Tuesday and Wednesday Year 3/4 went to Crawshaw to build Lego objects and learn how to program them to move. We all had a really exciting time and were thoroughly engaged. On the first day we built a propeller that went round when programmed and created a spinning top. The children had a a battle of the spinning tops to see who’s could spin the longest!
On the second day the children worked independently following the instructions on the board to create a variety of Lego models with different mechanisms in them e.g motion sensors and rubber band spinners. The children embraced the challenge and the pictures show the different models they created. There are also videos showing how the models moved.
