Year 3 had a superb exhibition of our science projects this week.
Our learning question for this half term has been “How amazing is our body?” and the children have been working really hard on creating their own vertebrate species (an animal with a spine!).
We started off by looking at a human skeleton, putting it together and working out which bones go where. We also looked at different x-rays of human body parts to identify the different types of bones.
After that, we designed our vertebrate’s skeleton in our books and made up lots of interesting facts. Next, we drew up our skeletons, labelled the different bones and presented our information. Then we created models of our species.
It was lovely to see so many parents in to see how hard we have worked over the past half term.
