Year 3 went on a wonderful trip to Temple Newsam to enjoy the outdoors for their learning question “How does your garden grow?”
We started off by going into the House and learning all about the Kings that had owned the house, including King Henry VIII. It was fascinating to learn about and lots of us got to dress up.
We then split into three groups for different activities: a tour of the House, in which we got to look at the different patterns and try and draw them; exploring the farm, where there were piglets that had been born that same day; and doing observational drawings of the beautiful flowers in the gardens.
We had a lovely time!
