KS2 had a spring celebration on Monday afternoon on 08.05.17 where they invited a grown up to join us to give them a taster of our nurture group sessions.
We started off the session by doing our feelings register then played a game called “I’m not a stick”. We then split into two groups; one group painted sections of a cotton sheet which we will hang in our nurture room, the other group decorated biscuits with icing and sweets.
Once each group had completed their activity, they swapped over to give everyone a chance to partake in each activity. After a tidy up, the children and grown ups enjoyed a snack with the biscuits they made and a drink of juice. Once the snack was over, the children went to lay on the carpet for some relaxation whilst one of our students read a relaxing story to them.
Once all the children were relaxed it was back to the table to finish off a lovely afternoon with starry skies.
What a fun afternoon we had!!
