Great Yorkshire Cycle Relay

Yesterday 4 children from Y6 along with Mr B participated in the Great Yorkshire Cycle Relay.

Leeds City Council  arranged a gigantic event , working with councils and schools across the county to pass a baton by bike from Sheffield through Barnsley, Wakefield, Doncaster, York, North Yorkshire, Bradford, Calderdale and finally finishing on Leeds on the 27 June 2017.

Edward picked up the baton at our school from a pupil from Stanningley Primary and we carried it in convoy to Leeds City Centre where Joseph passed it on to the final school who took it to the town hall. We got very wet, but we had a great time and rode 15 miles!
