APPLYING FOR RECEPTION PLACES

Parents of children born between 1st September 2012 and 31st August 2013 are now able to apply for their child’s reception place. Parents have until 15th January 2017 to complete their application.

Park Spring Primary School will have 60 places available for Reception children in September 2017.

If your child is due to start primary school in September 2017, you must apply for a school place between 1 November 2016 and 15 January 2017. The quickest and easiest way to apply is online which you can do by visiting the Leeds.gov website

Parents have two options when applying; they can apply using the  online system or by completing a paper form.

If a parent chooses to apply online they will be informed of their school offer via email on national offer day (18th April 2017). If a parent completes a paper form, their offer will be sent by post on 18th April 2017 (2nd class).

Letters informing you of your nearest priority school are sent out to parents of all eligible children at the end of October from your local council. If you have not received your letter by mid November please contact Leeds City Council Admissions Team on 0113 222 4414.

APPLYING FOR NURSERY PLACES

Park Spring Primary School have 52 nursery places available each year. You can register your child on our waiting list as soon as your child is born and children will be eligible to commence our nursery the half term after their third birthday.

All children are eligible for 15 hours free nursery education per week the term after they have turned 3.

To register your child for a nursery place at Park Spring, please contact the School Office. Parents can make a preference for morning, afternoon, beginning of the week or end of the week sessions, which will be held over 2.5 days per week. We try our very best to accommodate your first preference however we, unfortunately, cannot guarantee that you will get your first choice of session as we take the children in birth order and sometimes the sessions do fill up.

If all sessions are full at the time your child becomes eligible to start our Nursery, children will have to wait until September before they are able to commence their sessions.

You will be contacted by our Nursery Team nearer to your child’s birthday, to arrange a mutually convenient time for a home visit to be carried out and to discuss a suitable transition for your child into nursery.
